Craft projects, not professional advice
Digalli shares cheerful, beginner-friendly DIY and craft projects covering paper crafts, sewing, home decor, and kids' crafts. Our tutorials reflect the experience of our makers and are offered for inspiration and fun. They are not professional advice and are not a substitute for guidance from a qualified expert. We are not electricians, contractors, or safety professionals; for anything involving wiring, structural changes, or specialised equipment, please consult an appropriate professional.
Craft safely — you do so at your own risk
Making things by hand is wonderful, but it involves real tools and materials that can cause injury or damage if used carelessly. You craft at your own risk and are solely responsible for using everything safely. In particular:
- Sharp tools and blades. Scissors, craft knives, rotary cutters, needles, and pins can cut or puncture. Cut away from yourself, keep blades sharp and capped, and work on a protected surface.
- Hot glue and heat. Hot glue guns, irons, and other heat sources can burn skin and start fires. Never leave them unattended, and let projects cool before handling.
- Candles and open flame. Candle-making and any project involving flame or melted wax can burn or ignite. Follow proper wax temperatures, keep a clear workspace, and never leave heat or flame unattended.
- Paints, glues, and chemicals. Always read and follow the manufacturer's label and instructions, observe recommended ventilation, wear any protective gear advised, and store and dispose of products responsibly. Use non-toxic, age-appropriate supplies wherever children are involved.
Always follow the safety instructions and warnings that come with your specific tools and products — those take priority over anything written here.
Children must be supervised
Many of our projects are designed to be made with kids, and we love that. However, children must be supervised by an adult at all times when crafting. Choose age-appropriate projects, provide only non-toxic, child-safe materials, and keep sharp tools, hot glue, heat sources, candles, and chemicals out of reach. Small components such as beads, buttons, googly eyes, and other tiny parts can be a choking hazard for young children — keep them well away from babies and toddlers, and decide what is suitable for the children in your care.
No guarantees of results
Crafting is personal and hands-on. The projects we share will turn out differently for different people depending on your materials, tools, and experience — and a wonky first attempt is completely normal. While we make our projects ourselves and write our steps carefully, we cannot and do not guarantee any specific result.

If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.
